Oppo A83 review
Oppo just announced their new midrange device, the A83. The new smartphone is all shades of stunning and quite affordable too. Oppo A83 should be fully available for purchase from next month and retails for just $215.
Oppo A83 DESIGN
Looks exactly like most Oppo midrange devices, the design is getting quite boring, to say the least. But overall it has an eye-catching look and is available in Champagne Gold and Black.
Measuring 7.7mm slim and weighing just 143g, the A83 is as light as a bird. With a shining aluminium body, the device is a beauty and supports Dual Nano SIM.
Oppo A83 DISPLAY
Oppo A83 boasts of a 5.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, which is near bezel-less. There’s no physical home button on the screen, giving it a taller full display. The screen boasts of 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution and 282 ppi density. Oppo went all out on the A83 achieving a 76.2% screen to body ratio, which is quite amazing considering it is a midrange device.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
The smartphone is powerful as well, housing the MediaTek MT6763T Helio P23 chipset which clocks at 2.5GHz Octa-core processor. It boasts of a Mali-G71 MP2 graphics processing unit and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS with ColorOS 3.2 skin on top.
For storing files, there’s a 16GB internal storage capacity which is upgradeable up to 256GB using microSD. It has 2GB RAM for smooth multitasking and fast app launching.
Oppo A83 CAMERA
It is equipped with a 13MP shooter at the back with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama. While for taking selfies, there’s an 8MP selfie snapper with beautifying technology for the best selfies.

Oppo A83 is powered by a 3090mAh Non-removable battery.

Oppo A83 is available for pre-order for $215, that’s about N75,000 – N85,000.
