The Huawei P30 has officially been launched. This has ended various online speculations surrounding the phone. The phone did not feature the 5x periscope zoom camera that the P30 Pro came with. But the device came with so many many features that will interest photography enthusiasts. It is the first Huawei flagship to come with a vanilla variant with AMOLED panel and under-display fingerprint reader. Also, the phone features three cameras at the back.
The Huawei P30 is powered by the Kirin 980 chipset. It arrived in four RAM/Storage variants. We have the 6GB/128GB, 8GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB internal storage. There is also a second sim slot in the phone where you can add a Nano memory card. That is if you want to expand the internal storage. There is a 6.1-inch panel with Full HD+ resolution, tall ratio, and no curved edges. The phone came with a completely flat screen.
Looking at the camera, The P30 came with 40MP super – sensing unit – that’s a Sony IMX600 sensor with custom RYYB colour filter which will help in superior low – light performance. The device also features an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 16MP f/2.2 17mm ultra-wide snapper complete with the Leica branding. The phone’s camera set up feature a dual – LED flash and laser autofocus.
Sadly, the water drop on the phone’s display hosts a 32MP f/2.0 shooter which is still fixed focus. Also, the device did not come with wireless charging feature and the 40W charging is also preserved for the P30 Pro. But the device came with a classic supercharge which moves as high as 22.5W and the battery capacity is 3,650mAh.
Another amazing thing is that the device features 3.5mm audio jack. That’s one of the things that differentiate the phone from the P30 Pro. The connectivity includes; Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5 and dual-band GPS.
The phone will come in three colours; Black, Breathing Crystal, Aurora and Pearl White colours. The pre-ordering of the device starts today and the price starts at €800 (for the 6/128GB variant).
